What is the proper way to add strings into a spreadsheet?

Is there a high level call that inserts strings, taking care of all details? It should deal withboth data structures:

(1) GenerateWorksheetPart1Content();

(2) GenerateSharedStringTablePart1Content();

Plus, the repeated strings.
